We played our first Tournament in Skaneateles, prior to playing any regular season games, so this would be a test of sorts. The tourney didn't start out so well, we lost to Skaneateles 4-2 in the opening game. The Kids came back and won over Auburn 8-2. Things didn't go our way in the next game a 6-3 loss against Perinton. The kids did manage to make the cross over game, so we would be playing Perinton again the next morning.
Our team came out to play that morning and shutout Periton 2-0. Michael Griffin had 27 saves in goal. The team entered the final with a full head of steam and the kids played a great game. The puck didn't go our way and we ended up losing a hard fought championship game 2-1 to the home team. It was an awesome performance for the kids to come back and win against a team that beat them the day before.
